Living in Orlando is great but if you’re just visiting you don’t have to worry about looking for school districts or checking out Security choice Orlando. Whether you’re coming in for a week or a weekend, here are a few things not to miss in Mickey’s hometown
Universal Studios: The most underrated of all the theme parks, Universal is a nod to movies throughout the ages and has some of the best rides in the biz. It’s more adult friendly than its counterparts so don’t forget to buy tickets upfront.
Orlando Museum of Art: One of the premier art museums in the state, OMA is something you don’t expect to find in the city that centers around cartoons and theme parks. Check out the modern art as well as the classics when the weather’s off.
Gatorland: If you’re into kitsch but the idea of screaming kids makes you nauseous, try Gatorland. See real live alligators in action and even watch a trained handler “wrestle” with one and don’t forget to stop by the gift shop for teeth and whatnot to take home.
